The Spring of 2006 I took a course from Dr. Furse at the University of Utah on Numerical Techniques in Electromagnetics.  We used the book by Matthew N. O. Sadiku which is a great book but most of the code was in FORTRAN and not MATLAB.  Dr. Furse offered extra credit to those who would translate the code into MATLAB.  I never had time during the class and I didn’t need the extra credit either but recently wanted to review the course and thought that translating the code would be an excellent exercise.
